TGB Customs is a refinishing business. We are certified cerakoters, not certified gunsmiths. With that said, we do work with certified gunsmiths to complete anything we are not confident in doing ourselves.
Our shop minimum for Cerakote work is $200.00 not including any additional labor that may be required for projects being brought in not fully disassembled.
We are running about 4-6 weeks out on most design jobs and some jobs that require disassembly and reassembly.
These time frames start after we receive your project in the shop.
We carry most cerakote colors but unfortunately we cannot stock every single one offered. Any colors that we do not normally stock will be an additional $35 to your order.
Yes, we offer rush service. If you need your firearm done in a hurry add these percentages to your order.
7-14 day service add 25%
5-6 day service add 50%
3-4 day service add 100%
We do not work on some aftermarket parts including Chinese knock offs and some non branded items. Specs are not correct in a lot of cases and these parts can easily break during the process. Plus, a lot of the time they just don’t work right and we don’t want to be blamed for any issues after coating garbage.
We will accept 80% projects but only when brought in completely stripped. We DO NOT do gunsmithing or fitting work on any 80% projects or low quality parts.
Painted on or lightly laser etched markings these markings will be lost during the surface preparation and coating unless they are machine engraved or stamped. If these markings are of great importance we can mask over them, but those areas in and immediately around the markings will not be coated and, as such, will not blend. Manufacturer’s serial numbers will be masked at no additional charge where needed or coated where possible.
Please note that some parts, for example the front sights on some firearms, will need to be replaced because from the factory they are either not reusable, or so extremely tight that they can be easily broken, chipped, or damaged. We will take great care in disassembly of your firearm, but things do happen from time to time that are beyond our control. If you’d like to avoid this risk in our shop, we encourage you to fully break down your project before bringing it to us.
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE TO A SIGHTS DURING REMOVAL.
All guns and parts are returned “dry” and need to be oiled/lubed before using.
Color matches are hard to get exact. Even when mixing the same color, it may come out slightly different each time. If you’re looking for consistency between parts, it’s always best to coat all parts of a project at the same time. If you are trying to match a cerakote color to an existing part, it may be slightly off in color and/or sheen.
WE MUST KNOW IF YOUR STOCK IS FIBERGLASS, CARBON FIBER ETC…
Fiberglass and Carbon Fiber do weird things when cured in an oven. We recommend NOT coating these items with the regular H-Series Cerakote. In most cases, we will refuse these projec. That being said….. We will coat your fiberglass & carbon fiber stocks and parts but you must know that we are NOT responsible for anything that happens to these items if you really want them done.
It is recommended that the firearm not be used for approximately 3 days following coating in order to allow the Cerakote to fully harden.
Cash always works best for our shop. Due to our pricing being as low as we can, 3% will be added to total for any debit and credit charges.
